Can you sue a debt collector for emptying my checking account in less than 24 hrs period on 12-09-2024 debt collector sent the court order garnishment to the bank on that same day I deposited my checks from my monthly LTD income and no one from the bank informed me so I deposited my checks at 2:33pm on 12-09-2024 and at 9:00pm same day I looked on my account saying legal debtpending. I called my bank immediately to dispute the charges the customer service couldn't they had to comply with a court order I kept telling them that my only income and I had no money to buy food for the coming Xmas I also asked if they could show me if its really a legit court order that they can show me cuz I haven't received anything from whoever that people taking my money and 12-10-2024 around 10:30 am I went to the bank office talking to manager I want file a dispute they didn't do. Anything but to give me a copy of that garnishment order. After that day I walked out of that bank I've been searching regarding my situation and what is my right as a consumer and finally found your website I'm 100% confident that they violated the laws and I can't do it alone and I'm kindly asking if can help me, sir, cuz every day I'm running out of resources at to feed my self and family. My wife and I were over 150K in debt and facing no way to continue to pay the monthly bills. A friend's financial advisor looked at my situation and because of my wife's and my age (74), he said to file bankruptcy. The psychological pressure over the last few years to manipulate finances to make all my monthly payments was overbearing and we were virtually out of ways to continue to be solvent. Matthew was always clear and precise in his directions, provided me with guidance through all the paperwork, responded to all my questions in a timely manner, and was even physically present when we had our creditors meeting with the Trustee (that's the legal hearing where questioning and testimony to validate the bankruptcy filing is conducted). We were able to keep our home and car. Mr Wegner is helping me through a difficult time. I was young and foolish with a shopping addiction and racked up tremendous debt. The condition is being treated but the debt with interest rates has become unbearable. I'm just starting the process, but so far his team has been very helpful with this embarrassing burden I placed upon myself. Word of advice for people: credit cards are the devil and should not be trifled with if you do not have the ability to pay it off each month to avoid strangling interest rates.
